Frequently asked questions
When should I book my first antenatal visit?
As soon as you have a positive pregnancy test, ideally in the first 6–8 weeks, so that dating, blood tests and supplements can be started on time.
What makes a pregnancy "high-risk"?
Things like high blood pressure, thyroid or diabetes, a past caesarean, twins, or the mother's age can raise the risk. It just means we watch things a little more closely — most high-risk pregnancies still end safely.
